As I look out of my window today I can't help thinking that with the wind howling off the Irish Sea and horizontal extra wet rain that my WOTA weekend is going to be a little shorter than planned. Planning a trip here is one in which there can be a number of factors in your control, like route planning and fitness.
Then there are the Cumbrian factors like the weather. Its almost certainly going to be slightly unpleasant but at the moment I'd rather be doing DIY than being all soggy on the top of a fell with my radio gear getting equally soggy. Just in case though I did manage to get a waterproof bag for the batteries. Shame its not big enough for me to fit in as well
