March 2013 6 and 10

It seems that whilst 6m is still a bit low on the G7KSE listening list (Nothing to do with it still being freezing cold here and me thinking its still winter) but others have had a bit more success. The latest 6 and 1o report has been uploaded here and is available.

6 and 10 reports

Martin Harrison, G3USF has been busy with a couple of 6 and 10 report available at the usual location. The longer of the 2 is a retrospective bumper report from June 2011. The longer report is obviously from 18 months ago and a testament to how complex the collection, organisation and presentation of the data is. Keep up the good work Martin

June 6 and 10 report and other bits

Martin Harrison, G3USF has sent me the June short form report from the 6 and 10 club. It is available at the usual place, here. I trust you find it useful.

Personally I have barely touched the rig over the last couple of weeks. What with a broken PSU and a phenomenally expensive replacement switch that cost me more to put it in the post than the switch itself. The cheeky monkeys also sent it second class post so they made a tidy profit on sending it as well as on the switch. Hmmmmm.

Once I've got the PSU fixed, hopefully this weekend then I'll be back up and running fully, just in time for the poor band conditions I'm reading about.

On another note I've had a wrestle with the Raspberry Pi as have a few other hams and its been tough going. Being a computer half wit I can't really programme so I'm attempting to convert the little knowledge I have into making applications like Xastir run on the RPi. I've managed that but can I get the maps to work. Well simply, no I can't. Still as a digipeater it has the potential but it needs a bit of extra hardware to accept audio in. Currently the board does audio out but not in. I expect that as time does on the platform will get developed further and bits and pieces will be produced in a similar fashion to the Arduino. At the moment its a bit like the wild west.

I should really spend the time fixing the PSU rather than playing with the RPi. That reminds me I need to fix the bike as well.

6 and 10 again

Martin, G3USF, has been busy collating the outstanding short form 6 and 10 reports and they are available in the usual place. Just a quick reminder that these short form reports are a way for Martin to give more current information based on the reports from Costas, SV1DH, which come in first. The 'final' edition of the report will be uploaded once all the remaining data has been collated and formed into the report.

I hope you enjoy them and find them useful. Let me know if you have any problems or comments.

6 and 10 reports

Martin, G3USF has produced a few short for reports which hopefully clear up some of the backlog. They are kept in the usual place, here. The plan for future reports which are taking a while to compile is to produce the short forms as soon as possible and then to fill in the report as data comes in. There is always a little gaps between the issue date and the actual date but this is growing a little. Hopefully this will help to close that gap.

Please feel free to browse and hopefully you'll enjoy what Martin, G3USF produces.

6 and 10 pages shuffle

The amount of 6 and 10 reports that I was hosting was begining to cause me a headache with space so I've shifted them onto a Dropbox public folder which can be accessed here. There is limited demand for these older reports but I hope they are useful to someone. Let me know if there are any problems.
