I took Angus, our Cocker Spaniel out for his first time on the fells yesterday. I ended up keeping him on the lead and taking him up Catbells and Maiden Moor. I'm glad I kept him on the lead as he was quite excited to start with but judging from the photo he wasn't too keen on the wind that we got on the way back. As he gets a bit older he'll come with me more and more but at tehh moment he's a bit young to be going far and too keen on trying to make friends with the sheep.
We didn't manage to get too many contacts and as usual it was a last minute choice to go out but by the time he'd had some dinner he was back to his usual tricks so yet again I've failed to tire him out. Lets face it he's just younger than me!
