My qth has quite a few plus points, well more than a few, for radio. The main one is that it is quiet and doesn't suffer from.intrusions from unwanted noise.
That was until a few days ago when I spotted some.rather nasty noise on every band. The noises showed up as peaks on the ic7000's scope roughly every 75khz across pretty much all the spectrum. I was simply stumped as to where it was coming from.
I ended up pulling just about everything out of every socket and checking where things were to make sure I handy missed anything. I even sought some advice from the rsgb group on yahoo
Eventually I pinned it down to a replacement switch mode psu. The nasty little thing caused me a bit of a stir. Needless to say its gone to where it belongs.
