Arduino Uno kit

Lat weekend I ordered a kit of parts from a Hong Kong reseller on Ebay. The kit was supposed to consist of a few odds and ends with an Arduino Uno board and LCD that arrived was fit to bursting with quite a bit more than I imagined and the board seems to be genuine or at least a good copy. It was recognised as the right thing by windows 7 so I'm pretty pleased. Its never a sure thing that you'll get exactly what you thought you were going to get from these sellers but if it works then that's good enough for me at the moment. I 'm not in the habit of buying dodgy gear but I think I'm becoming too cynical as well as I doubt the authenticity of just about everything now even when it probably is genuine.

Still no excuse as to why I can't start looking at trying out a few simple programs now to get my head round how these things work.
